Snow (Hey Oh)

Hey all :)

I know it's been a while, but I haven't had anything interesting to post about recently. Well, now I do.

Firstly, this goes out to a friend who has discovered a secret.  I apologize for the two weeks of frantic worrying I have placed upon you, and I would much prefer it if you didn't scold me as that is rather hypocritical of you. And now that you know I am glad that you said everything will continue as normal, so thank you and sorry. :)

My next order of business- I told a guy that I like him the other day. Hey, better two weeks of suffering than two years (read posts from last year, you'll see what I mean)! This time I'm glad I took the risk. No, there is no mutualness, but with it out of the way I have put it out of my head (and I hope he has also) and I am glad that we are still friends. How awful it would be if we weren't.

I'm sick, yet again. I've been home from school for a few days (my abscence caused a bit of worry- don't fret, I'm alright!) and I went to see my doctor yesterday. I described my symptoms and she said that she thinks I have fallen victim to the current epidemic of whooping cough which is popping up all over the city. So, she put an AWFUL swab on the end of a spring up my nose (and of course because this is me we're talking about here, it made my nose bleed) and put me on a two-week course of gigantic pink antibiotic tablets. When I go back to school and take them at break, I'm dreading the comments I'll get from my friends- guys, I fully appreciate the funny side of the situation, but whatever you do DON'T make me laugh when I'm taking them as I'm likely to spit them all over whoever is sitting at close range.

It snowed today. YAY! I love snow. I was born in it. Not literally of course, I mean it was snowing heavily OUTSIDE on the day of my birth. But every time it snows and we're allocated a few days of school, and then a day or two in which we can come to school in mufti and gumboots to keep warm, I am ALWAYS home sick. Not even kidding. This time last year, it snowed and I was home sick on the mufti day. A couple of months after that, it snowed again and again I was home sick. This time, I'm home sick. At least last time I was allowed to go out and play in it, and build a Dalek out of snow and whatever we could find in the house (if you don't know what a Dalek is, google-image it). Today, I was only allowed out for five minutes at a time and then I had to come inside. No building forts, or snowmen (or snow-wizards and snow-daleks, as I prefer to make), or having snowfights.... I was allowed to take pictures though. So when I woke up this morning (well, this afternoon) and looked out on the interior of a snowglobe, naturally I pulled on thermals and jeans and trackpants and several jumpers and a coat and scarf and a wooly hat that my mother knitted for my infant-sized head which stretched as my head did, and armed with my mother's cellphone I stepped out into the grounds of Hogwarts Castle (as I pretended my sugar-coated garden was) to capture as much as I could. I shall upload all the photos in due course, but here are the few she has managed to get onto the computer so far. I have made them all black and white, but unfortunately I have not manage to perfect the potion that makes pictures move if you develop them in it. :( Here they are anyways:

I'll upload the others later, when I've figured out how to get them off my mum's phone. Could be a while... :/

Keep warm, everybody... and don't come visit me! Storme, we may have to cancel this weekend as I could still be contagious then. :(

Love and snowstorms (and hot cups of tea while you're watching said snowstorms) :)
